g0901: These flat-bottomed barges with red-brown sails were commercial boats hauling cargoes like bricks, sand, and coal on the River Thames in London during the 19th and early 20th century. A few of these barges have been preserved as pleasure boats and are sailed today in the Thames Estuary.
